The E-Learning Platform is developed within the Energy Efficient for Sustainable Livelihood in Africa (EELA) Program, which aims to drive market transformation by promoting high-performing, affordable, and energy-efficient appliances, increasing industrial sector investments, and fostering sustainable local value chains for energy-efficient products and services in East, West and Southern Africa. The objective of this online training is to support capacity development by strengthening the competence of diverse stakeholders across the energy sector, crucial for the development of an enabling market for energy efficient equipment and solutions in West, East and Southern Africa. At the moment six modules are offered, sharing a common focus on enhancing energy efficiency and fostering sustainable markets, addressing key aspects such as energy-efficient lighting, energy-efficient cooling, productive uses of energy as well as strategies to promote sustainable technologies and practices within the industrial sector. Each module is divided into several blocks, each including a number of pre-recorded video presentations to enable you to carry out the training at your convenience. As the project develops, new modules will be added to cover additional topics, such as industrial motors.
